Archdiocesan Ministry of Ecumenical & Inter-Religious Affairs (AMEIA)

AMEIA seeks to create an awareness among Catholics of the importance and means of ecumenical and inter-religious dialogue. We are also the official arm of the Archdiocese responsible for building bridges and promoting dialogue with other religious traditions, churches and ecclesial communities.

AMEIA has the following objectives:

• To promote mutual understanding, respect and collaboration between Catholics, other Christians and the followers of other religious traditions;
• To encourage the study of religions; and 
• To promote the formation of persons dedicated to dialogue and ecumenism.
