Archbishop Julian Leow

The Most Rev. Archbishop Julian Leow Beng Kim, a native of Seremban, was born on 3 January 1964. He completed his primary and secondary education at St Paul’s Institution and later went on to University of New South Wales, Australia where he obtained a Bachelor of Building in 1989.

Following a three-year working stint in the private sector, Archbishop Julian commenced his seven-year formation to the priesthood studies at College General Major Seminary in Penang in 1994. He was ordained a priest at the Church of the Visitation, Seremban on 20 April 2002.

After his ordination, Archbishop Julian served as the Assistant Parish Priest in Church of Visitation, Seremban (2002-2004), and Parish Priest of Church of the Holy Family, Kajang (2004-2007).

After serving in the archdiocese for 5 years, Rev Julian left for Rome to further his studies at the Pontifical Gregorian University where he obtained his Licentiate in Church History.

Upon his return to Malaysia in 2010, Rev Julian joined College General Major Seminary in Penang as Formator and Dean of Studies until his appointment as the fourth Archbishop of Kuala Lumpur.
