Communique on COVID 19 Contact Listing

It has come to the attention of the Archdiocese of Kuala Lumpur that one of the persons tested positive with COVID 19 in yesterday’s MKN report (patient X) had come to Kuala Lumpur and had met up with several individuals on the 17th and 18th of July 2020.

Persons who have come into contact with Patient X have been identified and are currently being contacted for testing. If these persons have been checked and found to be clear, there is no need to proceed with additional contact tracing. These persons have been asked to self-quarantine for two weeks.

In the event that there is a positive case among the persons under investigation, identified close contacts will be contacted directly by MOH and will be required to undergo mandatory testing.

Should you experience any symptoms related to COVID 19 within the past week, we would like to recommend that you proceed to see a doctor immediately or you may call the Preparedness and Response Centre (CPRC) hotline at the following numbers: 03-88810200, 03-88810600 or 03-88810700.

The Archdiocese of Kuala Lumpur is committed to ensuring that our churches, chapels and Mass centres are in strict compliance with the requirements under the SOP issued by the MKN and the Guidelines for the Celebration of Sacraments issued by the Archdiocese in order to provide a safe space for our communities in accordance with public health standards.

Issued on behalf of the Archdiocesan Crisis Management Task Force.
