We are pleased to announce the arrival of His Excellency Archbishop Wojciech Załuski, Apostolic Nuncio designate to Malaysia and Timor-Leste and Apostolic Delegate to Brunei Darussalam.
Archbishop Zaluski who was appointed to this post by Pope Francis on September 28, 2020 will be the second person to head the Apostolic Nunciature in Malaysia.
A native of Poland, His Excellency has been in the diplomatic service of the Holy See since July 1985 and has served successfully in the Apostolic Nunciatures of Burundi, Malta, Albania, Zambia, Sri Lanka, Georgia, Ukraine, the Philippines and Guatemala.
In adherence to the current SOPs for travellers into Malaysia, Archbishop Zaluski who arrived here this afternoon will be tested for COVID-19 and will be undergoing his home quarantine at the Apostolic Nunciature in Kuala Lumpur.
He will be presenting his Credentials as the Apostolic Nuncio of the Holy See to His Majesty, DYMM The Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin AlMustafa Billah Shah at a later date.
His Grace Archbishop Julian Leow and members of the Catholic Bishops Conference of Malaysia warmly welcome His Excellency to Malaysia and are looking forward to working closely with him for the spiritual good of the Catholic Church in Malaysia.
