Reverend Father Jestus Pereira was transferred from the emergency unit to the Intensive Care Unit of Temerloh hospital yesterday evening. He is currently stable but his condition remains critical.

Reverend Father Jestus Pereira’s condition has continued to improve. While his condition is no longer critical, he will be receiving close monitoring for now.
Fr Jestus was transferred from Hospital Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah, Temerloh (Temerloh Hospital) on Wednesday evening to Beacon Hospital Petaling Jaya where his treatment will continue.
Visitors are currently not allowed.
His Grace would also like to thank the dedicated medical staff of Termeloh Hospital and the parishioners of the Church of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Mentakab, who cared for Fr Jestus.

Reverend Father Jestus Pereira is currently recuperating well at Beacon Hospital. He is alert and comfortable but will remain admitted for inpatient care for now.
Visitors are still not allowed at this point in time.

15th January 2022 / Chan/Comm/02(c)/2022
Reverend Father Jestus Pereira was discharged from Beacon Hospital yesterday and will be convalescing at the St Francis Xavier Home for the Elderly, Cheras, under the care of the Little Sisters of the Poor. Due to the current SOP at the home and for the safety of all residents, the Sisters have requested that there be no visitors.
As Fr Pereira will be unable to take up his new pastoral assignment immediately during his convalescence, His Grace Archbishop Julian Leow D.D. has requested Reverend Father Terrance Thomas to remain in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Port Dickson, temporarily.
The Church of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Mentakab, will also be temporarily under the care of the priests of the Pahang/ Terengganu district with the assistance of visiting priests from elsewhere.
