We extend our deepest condolences to Rev Fr Gerard Theraviam, the Parish Priest of the Cathedral of St John the Evangelist, Kuala Lumpur, on the demise of his elder sister Mdm. Lily Jane Simon who passed away peacefully on 13 April 2023. She leaves behind two brothers, one sister, a sister-in-law, a brother-in-law, three nieces, a nephew, relatives, and friends who will miss her dearly. The wake is being held at the funeral parlour at the Church of the Holy Rosary, Jalan Tun Sambanthan, Kuala Lumpur, from 12:00 noon to 10:00 pm today (14 April 2023), and there will be a wake prayer at 8.00 pm. The funeral mass will take place on Saturday, 15 April 2023 at 11.30 am at the Church of the Holy Rosary, followed by cremation at the MBPJ Crematorium, Kampung Tuanku, 46100 Petaling Jaya. His Grace Most Reverend Julian Leow and the clergy of the Archdiocese of Kuala Lumpur would like to extend their deepest condolences to Rev. Fr Gerard Theraviam and the family of the late Mdm. Lily Jane Simon. We are united with them in fraternal prayer and support in this time of loss. Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May her soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
