The Chancery is an arm of the Archbishop’s offices – collectively known as the Curia – that handles administrative functions such as human resources, clergy matters and records management and archives. Its primary functions are to assist the archdiocese in its administrative functions and governance and to preserve and safeguard documents for the Church’s future.
To accept and hear all formal and summary cases of First Instance for nullity in the Arch/Dioceses of Peninsular Malaysia and the Vicariate of Brunei Darussalam;

To accept and hear contentions and criminal cases; and
→
To function as the Second Instance for the Archdioceses of Kuching and Singapore.
